NOEMI RODRIGUEZ
Sra.
Rodriguez began her
career in 1966 as a Kindergarten teacher – her childhood dream – in
Buenos
Aires, Argentina and quickly gained the attention of the system’s
administration with her exceptional results. Sra. Rodriguez developed
an innovate
approach to early childhood education synthesizing the methods of Maria
Montessori and the theory of Jean Piaget. She was asked to develop
Kindergarten
curriculum for the Buenos Aires public system.
In
1987, Sr. Rodriguez
immigrated to the US and began training with the Berlitz School of
Languages to
teach Spanish to Cleveland’s international business community. During
the next
15 years, she became one of the most sought after Spanish tutors in
Greater
Cleveland for adults and children.
In 2004, Sra. Rodriguez started
teaching
Spanish at Birchwood School in grades 1-8. When the school decided to
start a
Kindergarten class in 2009 that emphasized Spanish language
instruction, Sra.
Rodriguez was the perfect choice. Under her vision, expertise, and hard
work,
Birchwood’s first kindergarten class was an exceptional success. The
school is
honored to have her on staff.
